ABOUT MARI

I was born and raised in the Midwestern USA, of Polish, German and Celtic descent - with religious tradition of origin Catholic. An early interest in social justice/liberation theology turned into a BA from the University of Notre Dame and an MSW  (University of Michigan) focused on Sociology/Social Work. After 15 years as a counselor/manager in non-profits, 15 years living outside my culture of origin in downtown Detroit/ the Texas-Mexico border/ Central America, and a concurrent ten years of personal and spiritual questing, I returned to graduate school for my doctoral studies at a cutting edge integral (mind/body/spirit) institute in San Francisco (California Institute of Integral Studies). 


There I entered a morphic field of transformation via the community, the research, and breathwork/dream/meditation induced altered state experiences. There I encountered vestiges of the Dark Mother still present in Catholicism (Mari Magdalene) and her links to the fierce 'inner guru' (Kali Ma) and uncovered names for the path long calling me: Shamanic Shakta (goddess-oriented) Tantric yoga. Meditation, mantra (chanting), yantra (images) focused on the universal and earth based female power/energy that infuses all. A perspective that honors the magic of incarnational body-centered mystical states. A path that honors the shamanic death/rebirth intensity of my process. And a nature mystic path that continues to reveal through Q'ero Inka initi​ations and study of African Traditional Religions. And now, bearing gifts from the spiritual descent/ascent process  in New Orleans,  a return to my community of origin in Michigan!


MY MISSION

After my doctoral work, and In the last 20 years, my altered states of consciousness continued via the age-old transfer of power – Shakti-Pat. I studied with/was in the presence of trance-channels of the Fierce Goddess - and have been a trance-channel for Her myself. I have experienced multiple heart opening and ecstatic states of consciousness via initiations in the nature mystic Q’ero and Rainbow lineages of the High Andes . As a student of African Traditional Religions I have experienced the African powers in ritual/ dreamtime/ light language channeling . And in over twenty years of waking and dreamtime personal work, I have journeyed to the Great Below to confront my shadow self…

And so - whether you are experiencing an ecstatic kundalini awakening, or emotional shamanic dismemberment. Whether you are exploring breathwork/dream/meditative states, or having a death/rebirth experience. Whether you are moving into unitive consciousness, or experiencing a descent to the underworld. Whether you are doing the deep psycho-spiritual work to clear out limited types of programming or whether you wish to re-align with your original soul mission – I’VE BEEN THERE, AND I AM WILLING AND ABLE TO ACCOMPANY YOU ON THE PATH. 


MY VISION

There is energy within each of us that leads us on our path. My mission as spiritual guide is to help us both center into that energy - and to call on your highest level guides to assist us with any issues/questions you may have. Twenty years of experience creating safe space, twenty years of experience as a trance state spiritual practitioner, and twenty years of research/meditative states focused on the archetypal power of the Dark Mother (not to mention professional spiritual reading experience in the supernatural city of New Orleans) are at your service!
